What Tilawaa stores

Your name, email address, encrypted password hash, profile picture, account status and secure sign-in sessions are stored for your account. Your saved recordings, titles, descriptions, Quran review notes, playlists, likes and comments are stored in Tilawaa’s private Railway database and media storage.

Passwords are never stored in readable form and cannot be viewed from the administration page.

Audio processing

When you record or upload media, it is sent to Tilawaa’s server for saving and for features you choose, such as Quran transcription, noise reduction, audio enhancements, passage identification and editing. Quran recognition runs with Tilawaa’s Tarteel-based model on the app server. Tilawaa does not send recordings to OpenAI.

Sharing and administration

Private recordings are available only through your signed-in account. Unlisted recordings are available to people who have the link. Public recordings, your display name, profile picture, title and description may appear in the community feed. Transcripts and private review notes are not shared with a post.

The owner administration page shows account details and usage totals needed for support and moderation. It shows released content but does not expose passwords or private recording contents.

Email and your device

Resend receives your email address only when Tilawaa sends verification or password-reset mail. Tilawaa limits these messages to prevent repeated sending. A secure cookie keeps you signed in. Language, Quran bookmarks and preferences are stored in your browser. Media you explicitly download for offline use is stored on that device and may be removed when browser data is cleared.

Your choices

You choose whether a recording is private, unlisted or public and may remove shared content. You can sign out all devices by changing your password. You can permanently delete your account, recordings and posts from Account management. Tilawaa does not use advertising trackers and does not sell personal data.
